Great News for Murchison Art students! Murchison was approved by AISD last Thursday (May 9th) to offer Art I for high school credit in the 8th grade. At the Junior VASE awards, it was evident that Murchison students are producing high caliber artwork. Prerequisites are: one semester of Art in 6th grade, one semester of Art in the 7th grade, portfolio review, and Instructor Approval. Students would then be eligible to enroll in the yearlong Art course in 8th grade for high school credit. If your student is interested in this option, please contact Jill Escamilla at:
